Dawn Of A New Year

2012 is just a stone's throw away and honestly, I'm sad to leave 2011 behind. It wasn't the best year, or the kind of year that I had planned out for myself, but it wasn't the worst and it was definitely fulfilling enough AND... The best I've had in a while. There's so memories this year that I don't wish to let go off, and quite frankly I'm scared I'll forget some of them.

However, I shall let bygones be bygones and although I really cherished the moments I've had this year, I'll happily relish at the thought that a new year is only a few days away. Now I may not remember everything that has happened this year, but these are the few that... In my opinion, made its mark.

#1 The Royal Wedding

There's something a lot of people don't know about me, I was weirdly obsessed with the royal family when I was young, now also laa actually. It all started when the mother bought the Princess Diana Memorial Videotape (i bet kids aged 8 and below have never saw one) and that triggered it. Ever since then it has been Prince William this and Prince Harry that lol. I even had your typical cliche young girl dream that I'd manage to marry one of them bwahahahhaa moving on.

I watched their wedding on the treadmill TV at the gym at night, and everyone kindda was too. I thought her dress was the most gorgeous thing ever, besides the Vera Wang one Kate Hudson wore in "Bride Wars". And zomg how Pippa Middleton's ass look so damn fine harhar. The only thing that ruined everything was... Prince William's scalp -.- But still leng chai nonetheless.

 #2 Kim's Fairytale Wedding..

... Which ended with a divorce after a mere 72days. The reason this is on my list is not because I'm superficial like her, but because I used to admire her. I mean come on, she's a fashion icon, professional businesswoman,  a great daughter, sister and aunt etc. You must think I'm insane for looking up to her. But I mean, put away the gruesome divorce and look at what she has achieved so far... And at such a young age too-!

Honestly, I knew the marriage wouldn't last, but I didn't expect it to only last for less than 3months. I was so disappointed when I heard of the divorce. Not to mention what a waste those endorsement was for a wedding. Damn right her sponsors are pissed.

#3 Dodgeball

It all started because of TheSmallOne. She dragged a few of us to weekly practices at the Uni court. A lot of us grew with the club, especially when it first started. But because of our internships in between terms, a lot of us too disappeared and only a few were left. Only Andrea, CarYi and JC managed to make a mark in the team because of their determination.

Although my love for dodgeball is not as great as theirs, I'm very proud to be a part of the team this year despite my less-than-nothing contribution to the team.I usually only cry for the things I love. But yet, I found myself crying because of my inability to perform during one training, which led to me questioning my Captain about her decision in putting me in the team. As such, I'm also grateful to her, for believing in me (i still think she made the wrong choice XP) even though I did not believe in myself.

I've spent my two birthdays ever since Uni by playing dodgeball. But this year was different because I was a part of something bigger. Storm =)

#4 Gas Leak In Empire Shopping Gallery

This particular news came to a shock to everyone, especially the residents of Subang Jaya such as myself. This mall was considered one of the classiest mall in the area and is frequented by mostly the residents from Subang I suppose, because other, bigger malls like Sunway Pyramid still dominated Bandar Sunway. But like Subang Parade, this mall gave me a sense of comfort... Pyramid was way too commercialize.

According to khabar angin, there was another reason behind the gas leak of the mall which speculated like wild fire. But there's no reason to share it now because the mall has now been restated to its former glory. Gawd I love Subang.

#5 Lotsa Heartbreak

Kay maybe not "lotsa" but there were quite a few. I've never really known what falling in love is like... It has always been more of a "like" and "attraction" sorta thing for me. I've had my fair share of being attracted to someone and vice versa (since they bother to layan me) but nothing really worked out.

I don't know whether my breath is too bad or whether there's something noticable crawling around in my hair lol I kid. Point is, I always thought I was ready for someone/something new when the fact is I'm not because... I'm clearly not over that someone. And deep down inside, I know it's not fair for that someone "new" because I'm not being truthful to him so... I run. SO, I promise not to get into things too fast until I'm sure of what I want. Yes I'm making that a resolution.

#6 Celebrity Night ; A Night To Remember

Celebrity Night was the theme for DH35 Tutorial Group 4,5,6 F&B event. It was a fucking success laa. Tickets to the event were sold out in less than a week and our flyers and brochures weren't even out yet. Best part is, I felt like I've contributed more this time round compared to the previous event in Term3 when I was the Vice President. And it made me feel so good about myself.

Also, I've found inner peace and enlightenment along the way... But I shall leave that for #8.

#7 First Concert In My Life

Damn right, it's WestLife-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Zomg and it's their last tour. Although Bob and I went alone, we both agreed that it was an amazing first concert spent together =) She came to pick me up and we had an epic journey to and fro, mostly at her laughing at how much of a failure I am with her GPS. But hey, those things aren't a 100% trusted lorr.

Then we bought matching happyfaced glow rings, mine pink hers yellow... And then we ended the night tapao'ing ramli burger. Thats love right there.

#8 Achieving Inner Peace

I have very... very bad temper. I don't know whether I've had it all this while, but it certainly came to its climax late last year and it came to stay till, around August I suppose. I've hurt a lot of people with my awful choice of words along the way and made some enemies. But the worst part was, my own friends were afraid of me (they still are but for a totally different reason). That's right, AFRAID. The day before our event (refer to #6), people started to notice a change in me, a better change.

Throughout the preparation for the event, it was as if I was on fire because I was very demanding with everything, and sometimes I couldn't depend on other people to do the work so I had to do it myself. And what with the tight deadlines and major hiccups in between, I was really stressed out. That was the peal of my rage laa. But something in me "switched" the day before the event, I don't know what, but I aint questioning it because it was for the better.

It was a month after my "enlightenment" that only my friends confessed that they were afraid of me at that time because of my menopausal mood swings. The worst comment I heard was "I felt like I couldn't be myself around you". I was devastated and swore I wouldn't go back to my old self. I still have my occasional mood swings now and then, but nothing too extreme and right I definitely know how to control it.

#9 Diploma In Hospitality Management

My results in the start weren't bad at first. I achieved like 17.80/20 and 17/20, the lowest being 16.50. But then in term5 I hit my own rock bottom, my results plunged to 14. Kaylaa I deserved it because honestly, I did not study at all and the feeling kindda sucked. So I promised myself that I would give it all I got this term and get my Diploma-!

Initially during the exam, in my mind I was thinking "ayuh I just wanna get through with this". Then after the the exam "pass can edi laa". So you can imagine how shock I was when I received a Very Honourable Pass mention TEEHEE.

Everyone has this misconception that Hospitality Management is the easiest subject. Well, they're wrong, but it's also not the hardest don't get me wrong. But what other course also involved super practical and hands on work? Kay find there are. But I wouldn't say this course is for everybody. Especially for those who find the sight of bloody chicken organs eery lol.

Singapore Jour Une

Left the bus stop @One Utama at 8.30am with the mother, monster, aunt and cousin.

Only woke up when we reached a rest stop, which was about 2.5hrs later harhar. Did I mentioned I did not sleep the night before because I was too engrossed in Vampire Diaries season2? Well yeah I was. AND, I also suspected there was paranormal activity(s) going on in my room that night but ladidoo.

Total journey took about 5hours because senior bus driver sped like mad on the highway. Picture of mutated giraffe/elephant, or what I call "giraffelphant" inside Resort World Sentosa.

All 5 of us crammed in a Deluxe room in Hard Rock Hotel. So purple, so much love :3

Vanity counter

Shower and toilet.

Entrance to the room

Minibar. Random fact that I've noticed during stays in hotel's is that yeah sure, the receptionists asks whether we've had any last minute consumption from the minibar... And when we answer no, they'll just reply with "very well then", like without sending a runner to check whether the minibar is still fully stocked. Just like magic XP

 Wardrobe

Coffee and tea facilities

Entrance to Resort World from the bus terminals and underground carpark.

The mother, monster, aunt and I took a cab to Takashimaya, Orchard Road whereas the cousin left for a job interview. Had lunch @Fisherious which served rather "meh" tasting beer battered fish&chips.

The whole of Orchard Road was very beautifully decorated.

Monster and I wandered out of the mall and walked down till 313Somerset because it's one of the few malls along the road which had Charles&Keith heh. But we couldn't find anything worth our while. Bought a sheer black top from H&M. The store was about to close and they didn't allow anyone into the fitting room. So I took my top off at a corner to try the sheer top which I bought eventually harhar call me desperado. But in my defense, I was already wearing a spaghetti top underneath my... Other white top lol.

Still very fascinated by the very cute escalators @313.

There were a whole lotta elephants on the street and in the malls along Orchard Road. And these were all painted by local/foreign artists partnered with Unicef in conjunction with "Save The Elephants" campaign. There was one which was painted as an angry bird which i despised -.-

With the mother. She threw a slight fit when we were in Takashimaya, and the whole time when we were having lunch, which was the main reason the monster and I decided to leave the mall because we could not stand her, even being in the same building as her lol.

But then she came to her senses and bought us all macarons harhar. Funny mother. I swear, sometimes I feel that I have to be the parent because... In my opinion, she's just too kiddish to be a parent. Sure, she has her motherly side most often then not. But she can be really immature at times (most of the time). Guess that's why my family loves her. Hey it's the law of attraction, big people are generally attracted to, smaller humans lol.

Having fun with hats, beanies and bowler hats in Marks & Spencer.

THESE SHOES I TELL YOU-! Well, wait they aren't exactly shoes, but they aren't boots either so... They sorta look like UGG boots but not high enough to be called boots. Anyhoos, they're even more comfortable than sneakers and sport shoes AND, they fur around the collar makes them soooooo stylish <3

Monster and I had thought about buying them but the mother disagreed because it would be impossible to wear them in Malaysian weather. Boo. But I did get a pair of purple pumps in the end heh.

Dinner @Shaw Cineplex Cafe. Harhar we were all too tired to walk over to Lucky Plaza's food court and everywhere else was full.

Monster and I shared baked Mac&Cheese with mushroom sauce. Looks darn good right.

Taken after flipping and mixing everything. You know how you get really sucky cinema food's in Malaysia? *coughs* Glitter Cafe *coughs*, well this place serves awesome food, for not only cinema standard but in general laa. And it has a magnificent view of Orchard Road.

The mother, monster and I outside of Tangs.

Took the MRT then bus back to the hotel. Managed to slip in 40min to go to the gym at 12am lol semangat. And thus, ending our 1st day back in S'pore.

You gotta love Singapore's public transport system. Everything's so organized and even the escalators in the station runs at the speed of lightning (compared to Msia). All in all, Singapore would be an awesome place to live in, but, Malaysia's still home... And there's no place like home :3

Next up, Universal Studios Singapore-!!

And A Jolly "Ho Ho Ho" To You

What with it being Christmas Eve and all, Imma post loads of Christmas tree pictures to set you into the mood too-! Again, so boh liao... But you get my point. Pictures below are all taken in Singapore.

The whole of Orchard Road was decorated with blue Christmas trees and lights

The dream lol. But it wasn't really made out of chocolates of course

Fairy lights =)

Kay so this one isn't a Christmas tree. But it brings me joy. Candy tree FTW.
Next up, Universal Studio's post-!

All I Want For Christmas Is...

Allow me to be boh liao for awhile but... I miss my friends so much and it has only been 2days since we last saw each other harhar. On the bright side I'll be going to Singapore on Wed, then Christmas BBQ on the 25th and then it'll be the long awaited New Year's celebration-! Wonder where we'll be going this year.

And so... I've once again decided to differ my National Service because my appeal hasn't expired yet and I have to wait to be summoned by them again. What a waste otherwise I would've been able to finish it once and for all considering the fact that Degree doesn't start till April.

... You =)

Twas A Scandalous Night... For My Friends

So firstly, I've passed my Diploma in Hospitality Management with a "Very Honorable Pass" mention. I honestly did not expect it considering how badly I did the previous term. But I'd say I deserve this because I studied so much more harder than the previous term. Although I thought I didn't do so well in the overall theory papers but still... Rejoice-!

Upon receiving our certificate's, I can't help but notice a few missing classmates and disappointed faces in the crowd. 81 students passed their Diploma's out of 85. There's no point saying that I think some of them deserved it (but I just did lol), but what's done is done, there's really no point crying over spilled milk. Also, I'm fucking proud to say that one of my smallest and idiotic friend in the ji-mui-clan topped the class, but I'll save that for later.

A few of us went to Daorae located in Taipan after the ceremony. LimCarYithekoreanfreak had wanted to come here since last term and we finally had the chance to-!

EllenHo being her ugly self as usual. We got so bored waiting for them until the point we actually thought they might ffk us because of the jam. Then I thought YAY we can go Murni instead-! But, no such luck. They arrived 25min later.

This one lorr. I've got so many name's for her throughout these past 2years. Among them are SmallThing and the most recent one being TheKiasuOne. But now I've got a new one for her...

PISS-ASS-DRUNK-TOP-STUDENT

Yeah that's the best one by far =) Congratulations laa AndreaLow. You seriously deserve it (coz u so kiasu just kidding). You'll make yo momma so proud :')

The only green tea I'll ever drink is from Daorae because it has a really milky taste, BitchHo says it tastes like something else though but I forgot.

Dinnering with them lovely people. I don't want to think about how much more time we have left with each other. TheTwin (car) will be starting her Bachelor in Business on the 11th of Jan in HELP. Like why laa we won't even be in the same campus anymore. Who is suppose to listen to my rants now =(

Fried rice with glass noodle, which half of it I ate, gave a quarter to Blackie (ywen) and a quarter more to le garbage bin.

They don't serve the mash potatoes anymore yyeerr...

Left for the gym pretty late and ended up with only 30min on the treadill. My arms and legs are really wearing me out, gotta do something about them real soon. And yeah I know...

"you go to the gym but why you no smoking hot ah?"

Well-! I seriously don't know. You'll either conclude that my work out regime's aren't hardcore enough or that I'm doing everything wrong or whatever but, I think I'm a hell lot better than all those other couch potatoes eating chips and watching tv at home. My New Year's resolution was to exercise more often and I'm proud to say that was one of the few resolutions I've managed to keep. And now I'm even exercising at least 3times a week, 5 if I'm hardworking enough.

I'm not going to go on defending myself but I'll say this, let's see who dies of a heart attack first, THEN I'll have the last laugh XP

From left to right :

Actual names : Andrea, Wenyi, May, Ellen, La me, Yi Wen, Michelle, Suk Khee and Ceccilia.

How I'll be referring them in this blog : SmallOne, LaoDe (old habits die hard), BitchHo, Hippo, Blackie, HuiZhen, Suki and CC.

Went to Mist to celebrate the end of our Diploma. It was really really fucking crowded, for a Friday. There was really no space on the dance floor by 1am, and I really appreciate my personal space thanks. Also, you can't help it but grind ter-touch people with every move you make. Not that... You know... I reciprocated or anything *ahem*.

Hardcore laa this BitchHo and SmallOne. They were really tipsy before entering the club because they finished nearly half a bottle of wine by themselves -.- Heroes. For some reason, they were a hell lotta people making out that night BWAHAHAHA random much. But seriously, I turn to my left right and front, every direction-! And some of them were really shocking kayy-!!! Names shall not be mentioned (youknowwhoyouare).

Yeah she was quite gone at this point. She just started posing whenever I aim my camera to whichever direction. And I'll tell you who was a goner that night too-!

Dear Blackie. You'll make LimCarYi so proud :')
3 of them weren't the only ones though. Gavin pretty much slept throughout the night and Suki hurled in the ice bucket lol. It's fun seeing other people drunk. It kind of serves as a gentle reminder to myself to never ever get that drunk in public. Not that there's anything wrong with it *coughs*.

I thought I won't be able to drive by the end of the night but upon stepping out of the club and seeing the state that Blackie BitchHo and SmallOne was in, I knew I had to drive home harhar. Was  really fun ride home, right ladies XP

And when I opened the front door at home, TheMother suddenly opened the door for us, with MillionTheDog comfortably sitted on her right arm summore. I was like WHOA shit. Then proceeded to kiss her and told her how sorry I was for being late only to have my love reciprocated with "eh you smoke ah" -.- But for the record, I didn't.

We stayed up a bit later, talking about... Stuffs. Mostly about what went down inside the club lol. And it was Blackie's first official time clubbing-! I say "first official" because she used to go to this place called Eagle Rock Cafe in Langkawi that we all thought was a club, but it wasn't. Its sorta like a GAY BAR teehee.

Woke up, heard BitchHo snoring so I tak peduli about her, then turned to the right and saw this below harhar. Room was very cold and he legs were too long to fit into the blanket. And yes, that's the Malaysian Airline blanket lol. What?! I have 2 of these and 2 of the small blue pillow kay. Dont judge the powerpuff girl bed sheets.

This is how bitches look like when they wake up <3

On another note, I feel relieved and glad that I can finally open up about my sorta active nightlife to my TheMother now. I don't have to go all sneaky shit behind her back anymore. I mean, I was honest about the late night's part, but I didn't go to the movies or redbox like I said I would. Deep down inside I think she knew, she just choose not to say anything about it.

But even if she did, I'll only defend myself by saying "I SAW YOUR PICTURES OF WHAT YOU DID THE LAST TIME". And then the world will be at peace again.
