WHOO BOY it has been one heck of a year-! Had the sudden urge to blog when I was doing my literature review for my dissertation. I'm proud to say I'm half way done with 1000 words in the bag and another 1000 more to go for tomorrow, Buddha gimme strength. Anyways, allow me to fill you in (whichever sad soul you are) on whats been going on throughout these past few months. Only highlighted special occasions though.
Yes, another one has left for Switzerland in August, not to mention leaving his girlf behind :/ Had a mega feast with pork knuckles, sinful Nyonya food, Singha beeh and ice wine throughout the night.
Ping Er's the one on the left. We've been in the same class for like 2years now and I believe that he's the most intelligent, honestly brutal and has the wisdom of an 85year old man. That, and he once had 2 ladies fighting over him.
And let the feast... BEGIN-! I usually starve myself throughout the week when I know I'll be indulging in sinful food at the end of the week.
Of course, what's a farewell party without a few drinks ;) had a bit too much to drink that night. Ping Er brought a few of us for a ride around his neighbourhood and the ride was mega bumpy because I was sitting at the back of the landrover. Wei Mae and I got really car sick after that and I immediately passed out in the living room when we got back lol glam much.
This be the FUNVEE GANG-! We're the ones responsible for keeping Si Ahmad LeeSengFatt awake with our loud nonsense throughout the whole journey. The other car which which comprises of Drea,Wen,Jwen&Nigel looked super dead, because they all were-! Except for JWen who was driving of course. That's what you get for bringing a brand new car when driving outstation.
We bunked at Wayne's (who's also in swiss now fhl) empty duplex. Eternally grateful :') The trip was meant as a farewell trip for SengFatt but it somehow turned into a mega foodie trip. Seriously ate non stop the minute we were in the car till we were back home.
Felt extremely nostalgic being back in Penang. Haven't set foot on the island ever since my internship back in 2010. Crazy clubbing sessions and almost daily drinking, almost daily because we'd go out for a drink at least 3times a week. Having awesome roomies was a plus too, those 3months really glued us together for good. Ahh memories :')
YES-! After countless failed attempts of trying to book our holiday, it finally came through-! And it was super last minute. We only had everything confirmed about a month before a trip. Super risky if you asked me. But because it was a last minute thing and my overly attached parents refused to let 2girls travel alone, we had to scratch off the whole backpacking thing and went with a tour group instead.
Wasn't too bad thought, saved us the hassle of planning our expenses and where to go and wondering whether we'd have a roof over our heads the next day. The only issue I had was that the whole freaking group communicates in Mandarin... LIKE WHAT?! Yeah I may come from a chinese primary school but I didn't even sit for the damn paper for PMR. In fact, my class teacher even discouraged me to take it lol fail.
Boat ride on route to Bangkok's floating market. I'll most probably dedicate another blog post (if I feel like it) on our Thailand trip because there's just too much to talk about and there's too many pretty photo's-!
Spammed on mango rice the first 2days we were there. It wasn't necessarily nicer in Thailand but hey, the authenticity was there. They sold durian sticky rice too HOW CAN I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS?! Didn't have a chance to try it though because somehow our tummies were always stuffed whenever we came across a stall selling durian sticky rice.
Elephant ride-! One of the top must things to do when you're in Thailand-! You can't really tell from the picture, but we were riding a baby elephant, so quite kesian the poor thing laa having both of us water buffulo's riding on top of it.
Owh, and I felt that YiWen&I really bonded during the trip =) Though we had a spat during the last day because she wanted to stroll the night market which took us a thousand years to get to, and I wanted to stay in or go somewhere nice to chill.
And these are the amazing people in our group. YiWen&I were the youngest (as if you couldnt tell) and during the first day, everyone was wondering "who's daughters are this?" lol damn funny. And because we were so close and the only ones who were friends there, I'm not surprised if everyone thought we were a lesbian couple ahaha.
Cycling baby elephants-! Fun fact, an elephant can only give birth once every 2years because thats exactly long they're pregnant for. Can't imagine how torturous child birth for elephants must be though. I think if human babies were any bigger, mothers wombs would be like jello already, damn elastic and can't feel a thing Z.z
This is a garden at the elephant sanctuary where they have elephant sculptures carved entirely out of wood. Yes, I'm licking her peaches.
Taken at the Alcatraz show. That's a male btw in case you couldn't tell. Everyone on stage super bodaylicious they all look amazing. I swear if they walk past you on the streets you can't even tell that they're pondan's. But thats the scary thing about Thailand, if you see an attractive looking woman, you better think twice and look towards the crotch area.
Stayed at one of the hotel's at the Pattaya red light district for 2nights and boy was it an eye opener. The picture above was taken at the prime red light district, where out of 10 shops, 9 of them would be whore houses, and that remaining one would be a seafood restaurant. Random. Then locals would come up to us, asking whether we'd like to get freaky with ThaiBoys and they even have a laminated card stating which position you choose comes at what kindda price and everything. Pictures of the sexual position also displayed one okay-! When I came back home and told my parents about it, they were like "haiyahh you missed out on the oppotunity, why didn't you go into the whore house?" omgosh parents like these @.@
Did some major damage during our last day in Bangkok. Shopped like there was no tomorrow and everything above was bought in only one mall. Imagine what we would've bought back if we went to a few more malls. Three quarter of them are souvenirs and items requested to be bought back by friends though.
My fav is the captain america t-shirt ;)
Had a chance to walk underwater on our visit to Pattaya coral beach-! I was expecting to see and experience so much more but the water was extremely dirty, as you can see in the picture above. YiWen&I even thought we were gonna die because the pressure But overall it was quite cool laa, we got to touch sea corals and fed the fishes and stuff . Can't help but imagine what if a piranha decides to swim by, imagination runs loose-!
Best part was that I was the first to arrive, even before the host himself lol epic win. Aww man look at that flame. I was practically eating from the moment I stepped foot into the house till I left. Even felt like hurling in between because I was stuffing myself non stop.
This was only half the food. 4 large pizzas, large bowl of home made spaghetti bolognaise, large bowl of bread pudding plus all the BBQ'd items which were still on the grill outside.
And the night ended with the gangnam trio doing the oppa gangnam style AGAIN. Shame? No, no. We have none of that. Jokes. Left early before they cut the cake because I had an important appointment at home :3
JULY - Ping Er's Farewell

La ji mui's. Car went to HELP (traitor) and Sze Wei flew off to Swiss as well.
Fargutz, only 2 of them left now.
AUGUST - Penang Food Trip & Thailand

The boys rojak tower is as high as the glasses @.@
Muar chee overload throughout the trip-! Wen, Drea&I shared 2 packets during out 1st night in gurney drive then packed back 3 more with us to bring to the beach for drinking session that night.
Ginormous ice-kacang for RM2.50. Like seriously?! Don't think you can find a huge serving like this back here.
RM7.50 "cyclops uncle" char kuey teow. Okay this is super pricey laa but I suppose the prawns make it more worth the money.
THAILAND - With LordBlack

SEPTEMBER - BBQ At The Pang's
Best part was that I was the first to arrive, even before the host himself lol epic win. Aww man look at that flame. I was practically eating from the moment I stepped foot into the house till I left. Even felt like hurling in between because I was stuffing myself non stop.
Bacon weave. Checked off from bucket list.
This was only half the food. 4 large pizzas, large bowl of home made spaghetti bolognaise, large bowl of bread pudding plus all the BBQ'd items which were still on the grill outside.
The end result-! Tastes better than it looks folks. Next up, macaroni and cheese cake.
Again, whats a party without booze ;) didn't drink any that night but JWen made us a cocktail wich mountain dew and vodka mixers mmm...
And the night ended with the gangnam trio doing the oppa gangnam style AGAIN. Shame? No, no. We have none of that. Jokes. Left early before they cut the cake because I had an important appointment at home :3
