Once Upon A Time In...

In conjunction with our French assignment, which required us to visit any tourist spot in Msia and snap pictures/videos to include in our presentation (all in French btw), we (Jwen, Gavin, Ellen, WMae & I) have decided to go to Legoland in Johor Bahru-! We have been wanting to go there for quite some time but had to put in on hold because of financial constraints (thirst and hotels and a whole lotta bday's coming up), but we decided aww to the heck with it and went anyways.

...LEGOLAND

Everyone bunked at JWen's place the night before heading to Legoland because well, being Msians we knew that there would be a high chance that either one of us would be late and we couldn't afford that. We all reluctantly got out of bed at 5am then hit the road before 5.30am. So much win for being punctual.

Taken en route to Johor. It started to get really foggy around 7am and the road ahead of us looked super eery. Macam ada Silent Hill feel no? I still think that it's going to be a great movie although I have yet to watch it :/

The journey took a shorter time than we had expected. Reached Johor town around 8.30am then decided to have Bfast at this really chio looking mamak before meeting Mich & Joelle at Legoland. It was a sinful day ahead of us. We had mamak for supper the day before and mamak again for bfast. Truly Msians ahaha.

And voila-! Tis the entrance of Legoland. I would advice those who plan on going in the future to purchase their tickets online because it only costs RM105 instead of RM140 if you purchase it 7days prior to your travel date. If not then, get ready for a massively long queue to purchase your tickets-! Owh and if possible, try not to go during school holidays as well because that's when we went *genius*. Apparently, school field trips are now held in theme parks and not museums anymore -.-"

The Magistrate's Court

Patriotic salute to the world's tallest twin towers

Suria KLCC

Putrajaya

A cruise ship in Port Klang

Forbidden Palace

And in case you were wondering, yes... All those are in fact miniatures and made entirely out of legos-! No shit right you're in Legoland lol. The workmanship is really amazing because the miniatures also have extra effects. Like the photo of the Magistrate's Court above, the vehicles are all moving on the road. And the photo of the cruise ship in Port Klang, the lifeboat's are going up and down. Its all these little things that impresses us noob tourists XP

Just like any other theme park, Legoland is separated into a few "themed" parks. The first one that we visited was the Land Of Adventure where it is Egyptian themed. The "Lost Kingdom Adventure" ride is very much like the buzzlightyear ride in Universal Studios Singapore where you shoot enemies with a laser gun and stuff like that.

The rapid falls in Sunway Lagoon is higher compared to this one.

Next up was Imagination Land. I can hear the shattering dreams of kids when they grow up in the future *evil grin*

And they've also got the rotating tower that is similar to the one in Melaka.

Hi guys, protecting it well XP This was taken in the 4D theatre. See-! Like I said previously, everything in Legoland is similar to the ones in Universal Studios Singapore. Shrek in 4D there, Lego prince and princess in 4D here lol.

This motha fuggin roller coaster urgh -.-" The waiting time was 120minutes, 2 freaking hours-! And of course, it just had to be the most extravagant ride there. We thought that we would go for lunch first then only come back to queue for the ride but quite fail in the end because it rained. More on that sad part later.

Survived the ProjectX roller coaster after queueing for an hour or so. In case some of you didn't know, ProjectX is like the absolute BEST party movie ever. It's an American movie btw. Here's the trailer for it, it's mad sick and I can only hope and dream to attend one of these. But apparently it doesn't actually happen in the US, not till this magnitude anyways.

So yeah like I said, it started to rain just when we had only one more "themed park" to visit. So we were like "screw it, jom pulang" since we covered almost everything. And since the food in Legoland is ridiculously expensive (RM18.50 for a chicken drumstick and chips), we all headed to the mall nearby for lunch. The mall is located right outside of the entrance so it's really convenient. Also, you can re-enter Legoland, just remember to keep the ticket when you enter the first time yeah.

Saddest burger ever. Mainstream F&B outlets like KFC and Burger King was jammed packed with humans and other places like Manhattan's Fish Market was closed for an hour because of he crowd... Like wwhhuutt the rubbish is this?!

Best part was, Jwen Ellen&I went to BKing and the rest went to KFC. Both groups queued up the same time okay. But even after the BKing gang finished our burgers, the gang in KFC were still lining up-! And get this, they ran out of chicken at one point-! Guess my burger wasn't that sad after all laa.

Still a better love story than Twilight trolololol. That's Gavin & JWen with Joelle's really cute nephew. And he only hangs with the guys because they've got enough body strength to fling him around like this... According to Joelle that is.

...HELLO KITTY TOWN

Owh yeah that's right, we went to Hello Kitty Town too-! Zomgoodness I'm going to be so bimbotic right now. No judging alright.

So Hello Kitty Town is located around 10min further in from Legoland. Admission fee is RM50 for MyKad holders and for the Hello Kitty Town ONLY. After paying for my share, I collected back my IC and straight ran for the escalator to the town ahahaha I even left behind my ticket. Kawanku be super embarrassed.

And look and what greeted us... A hello kitty parade-! A rather small one though but it still made me happy nonetheless. They must have known I was coming ahaha.

This is the awesomely pink couch located in the main entrance of the hello kitty house. Basically, I want everything in the house laa okayy.

How cute is the TV?! But I guess it won't be practical to live in a hello kitty house laa. Imagine what my future boyf would say @.@ he would see my entire house, turn and leave and run straight for the hills. But my response to that would be "meh, your lost" harhar.

The bathroom-! Okay this I don't mind having.

THIS... Is ma bed. Ellen is trying to show her displeasure of being in Hello Kitty Town. But whatever XP

Macam Sinister lol.Taken in the dungeon. Aahahhaa and yes there is a dungeon. It's actually a mini play place where your mission is to save HelloKitty and DearDaniel with the help of clues and those lanterns in the photo.

Other than the dungeon and hello kitty house, there are other rooms designed specifically for jewelry design, cookie making (painting hello kitty cookies), costume design, nail painting and other stuff that I can't remember. The photo above is the nail deco room.

And this is the jewelry design room. I know what you're thinking, how could I have put those two men through so much torture being in Hello Kitty Town right? Sorry laa but you're wrong, they claimed it wasn't that bad and i secretly think that they had a bit of fun XP JWen even sat in the Hello Kitty tea cups with me, so there.

The entrance

Souvenir shop. They only had a limited range of Hello Kitty products, with others ranging from Angelina Ballerina, Bob the Builder, Thomas and Friends among others.

Couldn't find any merchandise which I really wanted besides this wallet. But it costs RM159 laa bloody hell. Personally, I would've bought it but I know Mr. Choo will just disown me for spending that much so ahhh bah hambug.I was desperate and determined to buy something back that at one point I almost settled for buying a Kitty plush toy but nah, I've still got the ones from McDonald's back home.

They look so bored :/ But they're happy that I'm happy trololol. Best friends indeed =)

And THIS are the Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel teacups-! As you can see, it's really small and I still wonder how hippos like JWen and I managed to squeeze into the cups >.<
So... Till next time then-! Melaka food post up next ;)
