What's Wrong Dear Hippo?

"You shouldn't trust me. Because I don't even trust myself." Damn this sounds emo.

Just a mini conclusion of myself. When in a relationship, I usually go through 4 phases.

  1. - Infatuation
  2. - Comfort
  3. - Arguements arises
  4. - The breakup

For a normal person, the 1st phases lasts for hmm, around 6months? 2nd would be a year or so? 3rd may arise after a year and a half through the relationship? Thats where I come in. I go through all 4 stages within 2months.

However, if you say "i miss you" or "i love you" too soon, don't ever expect me to acknowledge your presence... Ever again.

Thank you.

No Worries... Klang Maa.

A good cup of tea must always come first.

Went to Klang for a "Ji Mui Outing" planned by Lord Black (ywen). The rest of the girls had to wait for Wei Mae, Ariel, Ellen and I to finish our class at 5pm and they were waiting at Old Town before 2pm harhar ngawwww if that aint love than I don't know what is.

The journey to Klang took forever-! After more than an hour, and a million potholes later, we've finally reached Lord Black's neighbourhood. We then dropped off 2 cars and proceeded to the seafood restaurant, which we found out later was called "Coconut Flower" lol.

Lala bee hoon

Deep fried sotong

Kangkung belacan... A must-!

Sizzling tofu

Sweet and sour chili crab

Buttered prawns

More lala

7 large dishes finished by 9 girls. We were so famished we sapu'd everything. Owh and top of that Lord Black bought 3 large coconuts for us. Again, so much loves =) And the total bill came up to RM192 which isn't as bad as I thought it would be. But I think Langkawi's seafood is still the best heh.

There were so many poor dogs surrounding the compound. It would come near us when we offer them food. But when we reach out our hands to try to pet them, they would just shy away in fear :'(

This was taken when I was half asleep back at Lord Black's house after dinner. I have such classy friends, don't I.

We went to scout for places to sit and drink after dinner. Choices were OverTime, Library and what not but in the end we settled for Barcollo Restaurant & Bar because it was one of the most quiet ones at the mall we were at.

We played like dunno how many drinking games. A few were really challenging because we weren't allowed to use Malaysian slangs like "laa", "marh", "lorr"... just to name a few. And other times we had to only speak in Malay, Mandarin and Cantonese... Damn Cantonese was the hardest. And there was one more where we had to keep our left hand raised up and see who's the first one to put it down lol. Mad night.

Car, Wei Mae, Mich and Ellen couldn't sleep over, so we left the bar together around 12pm because Lord Black had to show them the way out. The leftover girls then headed to mamak for second round, then proceeded home.

If you're wondering what's that, it's a picture of my leg with spots of hair. And those spots of hair belonged to Andrea -.- We were experimenting with the Veet wax strips and Andrea was our tribute ( by force ). So when I left one of the used wax strips lying around, it stuck to my own leg instead and left not only those patches of leftover hair, but a generous amount of wax as well. And trust me, they were not easy to remove.

Had bak kut teh for brunch. Lord Black brought us to this place that was insanely packed-! Food is, just food to me. Some people live to eat, some eat to live. I fall into the latter category. So to me the food there was good, but "meh". But then this fantabulous thing called "dry" bak kut teh came and I was like @.@

  Soup bak kut teh

Yao cha guai

Stir fried vege

Dry bak kut teh-! The sauce is relatively thick and some what spicy, which made it soooo good nomz...

Went to Shepherdoo after that, which is also where Lord Black works. Then we decided to give that "no phone's at the table" game a trial run. Totally failed because we kept giving each other permission to take pictures of the food and drinks to update instagram XP

My virgin pina-colada. Because it's too early in the day for a real drink... and because I'm a pussy like that harhar.

Molten brownie with ice-cream. Forever my fav item to order whenever a restaurant sells it.

Went back to Lord Black's house to laze around a bit after Shepherdoo because we were all too full and shit. Left for home at 4.30pm and have never looked back to Klang since XP

Look Out Behind You

April has been a really hectic month-! It's really not easy studying and working part time at the same time. My social life has reduced drastically and I rarely spent time with my family... That being one of the major contributions to why I've decided to resign, and because my dad forced me too -.-

Dahling's official birthday on the 22nd of April. We patiently waited for his highness's arrival for about an hour or so? Celebrated at Fridays Sunway, of all places right lol. As if Ellen and I don't get enough of Fridays on a daily basis already.

Ordered a cocktail that night but Michelle and Ellen finished most of it because... I could feel myself getting a bit cuckoo quarter way to the glass harhar. I've got a very bad history with cocktails -.-

Samantha, Ellen and I, with Mamun trying to photobomb us at the back.

Working at Fridays has been such a great opportunity for me. I actually dreaded having to leave because I felt like I've bonded so much with the people there. And when I've finally got to learn the ropes and what not, then it was time to leave.

Back when I was doing my first internship, I often wondered why seniors were so selfish. If not selfish, then they were very unwilling to train trainees and often blame them for not doing things right the first time.  Now however, I realised that they weren't being selfish, they were just looking out for themselves mostly. Its in our nature to be possessive, and some take advantage of other people... Especially in the service industry, in my opinion that is.

And for the unwillingness-to-train-newbies part... They always see trainees or new staff come and go. Having to teach someone everything they now with such dedication in the beginning, only to have them move on to some other department a month later. Its like, whats the point training someone when they're going to leave eventually?!

I've experienced that about 3 times or more ever since working at Fridays. Though I wasn't their official coach or anything, of course you'd feel obligated to watch out for them, make sure they don't get scolding like how I did and such. But in the end, I felt that my efforts were greatly unappreciated and some even just left unannounced. That really made me @.@

I'd help certain people when I was working there, and then I would just bat an eyelash to others. I wasn't always like that, I'd like to think that I helped everyone, even in the smallest way possible. But some were just plain ungrateful.

So the next time you judge me for being a selfish person... Well, you're either to ignorant, judgemental or have absolutely no experience working. But to me, I'm just looking out for myself. Always have to. It's a dog-eat-dog world after all.

Dahling's Birthday

I know, I haven't been blogging for a long time... Slightly more than a month more like it. Work has been pretty crazy since January and all the time in between that is spent bumming around at home, sleeping, reading or at the gym ( gosh haven't been working out for a week, fatter die me ).

However, if you expect a wordy post today then you should probably turn back now because I'm still in that "hung over" phase from last night's party and I just wanna post pictures heh. It's for the best really, because I'd risk sounding like a retard ( i get dumber after clubs ). So, enjoy-!

Group photo-! First time clubbing with Reena&Sathid

Went to Ariel's house around 10pm first to lepak and wait for Ellen to finish her shift because we were all going together gether. We had a really quiet drive to Vertigo, I guess it's because we've lost all the hype of clubbing already.

I remember when it was my first few times going out at night. I used to get all excited like a week prior to partying and go crazy in the morning of the actual day. And now I'm like "meh". But I still love going, don't get me wrong XP

With the birthday boy. It wasn't his actual birthday but we were celebrating it in advance. Also, it has been a while since we last clubbed with Tze-!

Random flashback again. I find my nightlife for the past 2 years pretty amazing ( for my bloody low standard ) because I used to go every week @.@ can't even fathom on how I had the energy to go partying every week. And it was one of the main causes I went really broke last year -.-

Fargutz... With Jiyni photobombing them. Everyone had so much fun last night... Spamming my camera with their nonsensical photo's and shit.

With the guys. Sang Ping Er is ridiculously good in photobombing people's pictures I tell you.

What I practically did was "bottom's up" all the way and went straight to Nero around 1am. We were at Bianco but the dance floor was super not happening. And the only people that were dancing, were shufflers-! Owh god i seriously despise people who shuffles on the dance floor because they need like a 10meter radius to shuffle-! Which btw eliminates all chances of other people dancing. That, and they're virginity protection level is just too god damn high lol. They totally deserve it.

Ellen and duck face Ariel.

With the birthday boy, whom I seldom NOT go clubbing with lol. You know how sometimes we all have different cliques of friends? For example separating our college friends with our clubbing friends? Well all of us don't seem to have a problem in this area... Especially him and we've been partying together ever since I can remember lol.

No, it's not something that anyone should be proud of but it's the sorta friendship I really appreciate. And he's going to be leaving Msia to further his studies abroad... so :'( we'll make sure he gets even more drunk that last night.

These 3 were goners XP

Andea, Ellen, Ariel and I went to Di Kayu for an early breakfast after everyone dispersed lol. Thank god Andrea came home with me because by then I was already feeling a massive hangover coming on and was definitely not fit to drive ( see im so responsible scoffs ).

Reached home close to 5am... Entered the house at ran straight for the bathroom to... Yeah u can imagine what happens next XP Passed out in the same place for an hour or so before Andrea woke me up by opening the bathroom door which knocked my head *ouch*.

Kay so this is like the lowest point for me EVER. Definitely don't ever wanna feel like this again. The last time I came close to this was last year at Opera, and even back then I've already swore to never puke that much lol. Lowest... -.-

My fav picture of the night... I just can't keep my eyes off of Jiyni's eyes and nostrils man. I edited it into black and white because the original one really cannot make it, what with the redness of her cheeks and all lol.

Kay that's all for now. I'll blog about work or degree or whatever shit that comes to my mind. Till then =)

That's A Big Cup

Breakfast at Chilla Cup @Subang Avenue with Lydia the boss and Ellen. Kay so she isn't exactly my boss, we just like calling her that because she was the second most senior SPG before she left Fridays =(
But anyways, we were damn honored that she decided to spend her last breakfast with us before flying back to Melb @3.30pm.

Typical continental breakfast with toast, 5 sidelines and a big ass cup of earl grey tea = RM15.90

No, I don't think it's pricey or anything because the food was okay and the atmosphere of the place is superb,  either for breakfast alone or with lovely dumbass friends.

So anyways, I've known this Lydia person here for about, 2months or so? And we both gave each other a really bad first impression at first, but we both grew outta that stage like after the 1st or 2nd day of working together. She's the sorta person where you can really go to for genuine and heartfelt advice on absolutely anything-! But if you're looking for a person who sugar coat's advice then, well... She may not be the right person because she tells it like it is.

We're not really morning people lol.

The main thing she really helped me with is when I used to date this guy around the same time I met her I'll berstory about that later  but yeah. She really opened my eyes about how our entire relationship was just basically, a 'lie'? Kay not a lie laa but, it's really hard to explain. Long story short, she could really see that I wasn't happy with where it was going and she told me, straight and hard... Sounds wrong but you get what I mean.

I texted her a few hours before she left for Melbourne and she replied by apologizing if she was too harsh with me before, as in the advice that she gave me and that she only wanted what was best for me and didn't want to see me get hurt lol.

Fine, so maybe this part doesn't really matter much, but what bothered me was that how could a person which I've only met for 2months know me so well? As in that I was not genuinely happy at that time? And that my other friends said that everything would work out and just smiled at me every time I brought the grim topic up?! Not that I've got bad friends, what I really meant is that, they're still scared that they'll hurt my feelings and what not, and I'd rather the people who are the closest to me, be honest with me than trying to jaga my feelings so I don't get hurt.

But anyhoozies this isn't about me, I do kindda still feel... A bit grimmish when I think about it. So, try not to ask me about it I guess? Thanks.

Lydia is one of the main reason I loved working at Fridays, otherwise working there would be kindda, dull and whatever laa.

Thank goodness the place was empty because we were talking and laughing like nobody's business. Owh yeah, and I still haven't fulfill my with of coming here to have my breakfast alone, and reading my book in peace.

I've always wanted to since CDL last year (CDL was held in Subang Avenue btw) but haven't got the chance to. There WAS one week some time last year when I had the chance to, but then dengue decided to gimme a nice visit, for the second time lol -.-

IKR all of my friends thinks I'm damn sad just because I like going out alone, or eating breakfast alone and stuff like that. But hey, I actually find it pretty liberating. Because ever since I've started work and had my 'side activity', I didn't have much time for myself. Well now, I have =)

This last picture is just for laughs XP At least I got thinner yay-! I mean, compared to the photo's that is -.-

Big Girls Don't Cry

I just have to let this out of my chest.

I'm the sorta person that can't stand late comers. Simply told, I appreciate punctuality, and by 'appreciate' I mean ...

...I damn well expect a person to be punctual.

Okay that's all. I shall now go and be pissy somewhere else.

Wherever We Go, Scandal's Are Sure To Follow

CNY / AGM

Ji Mui clan's AGM cum CNY open house was held at WeiMae's house. She's really the most hospitable one among all of us, kept on feeding us with CNY goodies and pizza/brushetta'ish treats. And YiWen fed us with her mum's super delicious home made 醋. CarYi however, woke up tremendously late and therefore didn't show up -.- That, and she had classes in the afternoon so... yeah.

We then relocated to Dave's Bar&Grill at OneUtama. The food there is pretty pricey, except for a few selected pasta's which were 50% off, but that's only applicable during weekdays so yeah. A tactic to draw in the office crowd DUH. So we all ended up sharing a bowl of Caesar salad, one carbonara, napolitana and olive oil pasta, since we pigged out so much at WeiMae's place before lunch.

The serving of the caesar salad there is pretty huge, I would say bigger than Fridays XP

Pasta Napolitana. Sorta expected the quality of the food to be better because a few of them have dined in previously and said that the serving was big and the pasta was really nice, but it was just "meh" so so for me.

We then relocated (yes once again) to Chili's-! This time around, we were waiting for Andrea's arrival, and we still felt like snacking and having desserts, so it was the best time to try the molten lava cake-! Btw, loved the salsa dip for the refillable tortilla chips. I didn't even knew such a thing existed before WeiMae mentioned it.

Tadaah-!! Michelle and I ate this whole, heavenly thing by ourselves and boy... Was it difficult harhar because I couldnt help but snack on the tortilla chips after every four to five bites of the cake. Whereas WenYi, Ariel, YiWen & WeiMae shared another one among themselves. Lol Mich&I is greedy hungry animals.

Omg laa this thing is damn lovely <3 Kay so the best ice-cream topped dessert has to be from Fridays, which is the brownie obsession, and Chili's. But, both of them are so similar, yet different at the same time... If you get what I mean -.-

Andrea's 20th

Blackie came over to my place first then I drove the both of us to Empire's Subang where we were celebrating Andrea's 20th birthday dinner. It was quite a low key one but... That's because there was going to be an after party XP

This is actually the first time us Ji Mui's actually took the effort to dress up for an actual dinner together. Usually shorts and sweaters would suffice for me. But seeing as we were going somewhere else after the dinner, I thought that it would be appropriate to be dressed for both.

Had dinner at Din Tai Fung, where the birthday girl foot the bill. Seriously damn pai seh laa but THANK YOU YUEN CHING-! You've been by my side when I was at my worse and best time in life, and I hope that you think the same way too.

But nevertheless, you're one of the people who I consider... A blessing that life has given me because you've been through so much for someone so young and I genuinely appreciate all the advice that you've given me =)

Group picture right before the restaurant was about to close-! From left to right :

WenYi, CarYi, Ariel, WeiMae, Michelle, Ellen, YiWen, Me, Andrea & JC. All of whom are single and available... *Ahem* except Michelle and JC. And maybe me heh.

Went to Vertigo for the after party. The view from the club is pretty amazing laa, I mean, in comparison to the places we usually frequent to eg. mist, opera, mos etc. And its kindda breezy as well so hey, say goodbye to sweating and sweat stains while waiting to get in right? Lol.

Also, I bumped into my long lost brother bear Pravin Rasu, who ironically is still listed as my "father" on FaceBook lol. The last time I saw him was... After SPM? So of all the places to meet him again, it had to be outside a club harhar. But it was good seeing him nonetheless. So I guess a lotta my ex schoolmates frequent these sorta night places now XP

Say hello to the birthday girl-! Who had balls so big she downed more than a quarter of Hennessy in less than 5minutes harhar. That;s excluding the buddha knows how many glasses of neat cognac, tequila&jaggerbomb shots and flaming lambo's we all had that night.

Our drinks to start off the night.

Tequila shots that costs like RM48 in total. Awesome club and cheap booze is love.

Jinyi and Kenneth

Andrea and Jonathan

Harhar I think this was after the 1st round of dancing and then we came back for more jaggerbomb shots or something. Whatever it is, my alcohol tolerance has definitely increased since the last time XP But the alcohol rash and redness of my face says otherwise *sigh*.

Lot's more stories where this came from *refers to blog title* Teehee,

2nd round of flaming lambo's.

The place was really nice laa. Like I said, finally got to experience a different clubbing environment after how long man. Let's just say, after MOS closed down we were quite upset I guess because that's our "home" lol and we've been looking for another place to ganti MOS ever since.

The best thing I like about Vertigo is the dancefloor-! Freaking abes man LED lighted stage can like go FTW ahahaha. Got pretty tipsy by the end of the night. But seeing how sad the condition Ellen and Andrea was in, I knew I had no choice but to drive so I quickly pee'd and sober'd up lol.

This dood right here has got to be the saddest drunk on in the mall that night. This pic was taken right before I went to the toilet. And after 6girls had gone in and out... He was still there-!  And the amount of puke had increased too lol gross max.

Birthday girl was piss ass drunk too bwahahaha mission accomplished *high5's comrades* we've managed to achieve the impossible.

We were one of the few that was still standing that night. Sendiri feels proud of myself for lasting 4hours in crazy 5inch heels, dancing and walking up and down like nobody's business some more. And I loved YiWen and my dress that night, felt like we were dressed until... Damn conservative or something harhar which in my opinion, helps make up for our crazyness. Till next time <3
